Shell’s aviation lubricant technologies continually advance in step with engine and airframe technologies. When equipment manufacturers or customers need a new generation of lubricant, they can rely on Shell to rise to the challenge. We have done this in the past and we will continue to do so.
A team of seasoned industry experts and talented recent graduates is dedicated to delivering the next AeroShell innovations. Based in our dedicated research facility in Houston, USA, itself part of a global research and development (R&D) network, we work tirelessly to solve our customers’ challenges.
In doing so, we value technical collaboration with equipment manufactures; partnership is an important mechanism for creating the new products and solutions that bring real benefits to our aviation customers.
Not only is Shell one of the few energy companies with a dedicated aviation R&D centre, it also invests more in R&D than any major oil company: $1.3 billion in 2012. This investment in people and facilities has contributed to Shell being named the leading global lubricants supplier for the last five consecutive years.*
