As a global energy company we are well-placed for upscaling Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) projects under the Dutch North Sea.
Shell Offshore Carbon Storage Solutions NL (SOCS NL) will provide CO2 storage capacity and transportation services in the Dutch sector of the North Sea using Aramis infrastructure.
Shell plans to develop multiple stores and make capacity available to customers from 2030 onwards. Capacity is currently offered to interested customers. This initiative is expected to play a significant role in achieving the CO2 reduction targets outlined in the Dutch National Climate Agreement and the European Union’s Green Deal.
