Shell crowns its 2025 global barista champion
A Shell station in Slovakia is home to Shell’s best barista for 2025. Service champion Viktória Macaláková was recently crowned Shell’s best barista for 2025 at the Shell Café Barista Cup held in Hamburg, Germany.
The annual competition, which launched in 2024, is part of Shell’s training programme for Shell Service Champions, designed to ensure consistently high-quality coffee using our Rainforest Alliance certified blends, and raising barista standards across all locations.
“Congratulations to our winner Viktória, who exemplifies the dedication to craft and customer service we strive for at Shell Café worldwide,” said David Bunch, Shell Group Executive Vice President for Mobility & Convenience. “As mobility evolves, we’re enhancing our offerings to help customers get more out of every visit. Shell Café is Shell’s premium coffee and food offering launched in 2021, with locations in 38 markets across Europe, the Americas and Asia operated by Shell and its brand licensees. The 2025 Shell Recharge Driver Survey, a study of more than 15,000 drivers around the world, found that 41% of drivers enjoy at least one cup of coffee on the go each month.
