Executive Vice President Investor Relations

Tjerk Huysinga graduated (Business Economics) from Groningen University in 1987 and, after concluding his military service with the Royal Dutch Navy, joined the Shell Group in 1989.

His first position was Assistant Treasurer for Shell’s metals marketing and trading business (Billiton). In 1992, he joined Shell’s Chemicals business as a business analyst and later was appointed Controller of Shell Nederland Chemie. In 1996 Tjerk moved to the United Kingdom to join Shell Trading as Finance Advisor in the crude oil trading business. After this assignment, he was part of the leadership team, as the General Manager Finance and IT, establishing Shell’s European gas and power trading business.

During the period 2002 to 2006 Tjerk held the position of Vice President Finance and Planning for Shell Energy Europe. At Shell Energy Europe all Shell’s gas and power trading, wholesale and industrial & commercial activities across Europe were managed. From 2006 to 2012 Tjerk was Vice President Investor Relations responsible for relationship management with RDS institutional shareholders outside of North America.

In 2013, Tjerk was appointed Vice President Controller Upstream and IG, where he had the global remit on all controlling activities across Shell’s Upstream and Integrated Gas businesses. Since October 2017, Tjerk is Executive Vice President Investor Relations.

Tjerk is married with Suzanne, a medical doctor and professor at Leiden University, and they have got three teenage daughters. Tjerk enjoys playing tennis, running, skiing and reading.

Personal Assistant to the EVP Investor Relations

Elena Popescu joined Investor Relations in February 2017 as Personal Assistant to Tjerk Huysinga, EVP Investor Relations.

Elena joined Shell in 2008 and held various Personal Assistant roles in The Netherlands in Upstream, Downstream and Mergers & Acquisitions. Prior to Shell, Elena had several management assistant roles in Bucharest Romania and as communications assistant at Bernard van Leer Foundation in The Hague.

Mano Sundaram

Mano Sundaram

Vice President Investor Relations, Europe.

Mano joined the Investor Relations team as Vice President Europe in February 2019. Since he joined Shell in 2006, he has held various roles in Treasury, M&A, Upstream and Trading across the world, including London, Houston, Dubai and Kazakhstan.

Before joining Shell, Mano worked for British Telecom in London for about 6 years in various treasury roles and prior to that worked in finance roles in a private metals trading company based in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Mano read electrical engineering in Russia with further MBA and PhD qualifications in finance from Imperial College London, UK. Mano was born in India where he finished his school education, he is married with 2 children.

William Pegg

William Pegg

Senior Investor Relations Officer

William joined the team as Senior Investor Relations Officer in September 2018, after joining Shell as part of the BG Group acquisition in 2016.

William has over 15 years’ experience in Energy, having worked in Upstream and Corporate (UK), Integrated Gas (Australia), and is now based in The Hague.

Prior to Investor Relations, William was in a Finance Leadership role overseeing Shell’s asset portfolio on the west coast of Australia. He has previously held positions in planning, reporting, controlling and general finance management, both in projects and operations.

William is currently studying towards his MBA and is married.

Senior Investor Relations Officer

Timo joined the team as Senior Investor Relations Officer in January 2018. Since joining Shell in 2002, he has held a variety of finance positions in business planning, performance management & analysis and general finance management. More recently Timo coordinated the separation of the Motiva joint venture in the US. He has been based in Hamburg, Houston and The Hague. Timo holds degrees in Business Administration from the European School of Business, Reutlingen, and Northeastern University, Boston.

Marcela started on her role as Senior Investor Relations Officer in October 2017. She joined Shell in 2004, after working as a Financial Modeler at Coppead Business School. At Shell, Marcela has worked on various roles in Finance for Upstream and Downstream, and more recently in Mergers & Acquisitions. Marcela holds an MBA from Cambridge University and a degree in Industrial Engineering from UFRJ. She is also a proud mentor of various mentees worldwide.

Dorien de Jong - Investor Relations Officer

Frederike Klatschow

Senior Investor Relations Officer,Socially Responsible Investors

Frederike started on her role as Senior Investor Relations Officer in July 2018 and is based in The Hague.

She joined Shell in 1997, after working self-employed in a range of environmental projects in Germany but also in Chile. In Shell, she held various HSSE and CO2 positions in different businesses at German, European and global level.

Frederike has studied geology-paleontology at Hamburg University.

Dorien de Jong - Investor Relations Officer

Dorien de Jong

Investor Relations Officer, Socially Responsible Investors

Dorien de Jong works on our Socially Responsible Investors programme and is based in the Hague. She joined Shell in 2006, held various operational HSE positions in the Netherlands, Canada and Albania, and managed the Shell Sustainability Report and Indices. She has a degree in Earth Sciences from Amsterdam University, with a minor in Mining from Delft University.

Tilman joined Shell in 2009 as Finance Advisor in Europe’s largest oil refinery in Pernis, then moved to the Shell Asset Management Company as Fixed Income Portfolio Manager, followed by a role as exploration country controller for several countries in Africa and South America. Before joining the Investor Relations Team, Tilman most recently worked in central corporate finance, where he supported the BG integration among other things. Tilman studied International Business with a concentration in Finance and Accounting at the School of Business and Economics at Maastricht University as well as UCLA Anderson School of Management.

Piotr Sliwakowski

Piotr Sliwakowski, CFA

Senior Investor Relations Analyst

Piotr joined the IR team in March 2017. He will focus on providing analytical support to the IR team. Piotr joined Shell in 2011, and held previous roles as a Financial Controller for the Turnarounds in Pernis Refinery, Project Manager for SAP implementation in Finance Operations in Manila as well as Financial Modeler and Team Lead in the M&A department. Piotr holds an Master’s degrees in Corporate Finance (Warsaw School of Economics) and Business Law (Warsaw University), as well as a CFA charter. In his free time he enjoys travelling and diving.

Kirsten joined Shell in 2015 as Planning & Appraisal Advisor in Upstream (NAM). Following her role as Consultant Global Financial Modelling in the M&A department in the Hague she joined the IR team in June 2018 providing analytical support. Kirsten holds a MSc degree (Financial Economics) and is currently writing a thesis to complete her “Chartered Controller” post-Master degree.

Orna Stapel-Oreel joined Shell in 2003. She is responsible for organizing shareholder engagements with Royal Dutch Shell Management.

Orna has worked as Personal Assistant en Executive Assistant for several departments and projects in Shell, including Bonga in Nigeria (supporting from The Netherlands) and Shell Development Kashagan. In 2011 she joined Recruitment as Senior Executive Candidate Coordinator and in 2012 she became Recruitment Operations Teamlead for The Netherlands and Russia.

Claudia van Bemmelen is PA of the VP Investor Relations Europe and is responsible for organizing ESG shareholder engagements with Royal Dutch Shell Management (Executive Committee and Board). Before joining IR, she has held various posts in Shell ‘s travel department and Group Security. During Metamorphose she worked as Executive Assistant for the Director of the Headquarters. After a communication role in Real Estate, she moved on to a customer relation role in Shell Chemicals.

Katie Cottingim started her role as Vice President Investor Relations in October 2018. She is responsible for all contacts and relationship management with current and potential institutional shareholders of Royal Dutch Shell plc. in the Americas.

Katie joined Shell in 2002 after graduating with a double major in Finance and Spanish Language from Southern Methodist University. Katie has worked in the Upstream (Gulf of Mexico, Venezuela, the Hague), Downstream (New Orleans, Canada) and in M&A (Houston).She has held positions in asset finance management, commercial strategy, controllership and corporate M&A. Prior to her current role Katie was the Finance Manager for Shell Canada’s Scotford Upgrader, Refinery, and Chemicals asset.

Arpan Shah joined Shell in 2006 and has held various finance roles in Upstream and Downstream. Arpan joined the Investor Relations team in March 2016 and is based in Houston, Texas.

Danielle is Canadian but currently lives in Houston, Texas where the North America Investor Relations team resides.

Jamie Parker started his role as Senior Investor Relations Officer in October 2018. He is responsible for all contacts and relationship management with current and potential unitholders of Shell Midstream Partners, L.P. Jamie joined Shell in 2013 and has held finance roles in both our Products Trading and Supply group and Shell Aviation Marketing. Prior to joining Shell, he held positions at CenterPoint Energy in controllership, finance management, M&A and commercial strategy supporting the midstream group. Jamie holds a BBA in Accounting from Sam Houston State University and an MBA from Tulane University.
