Shell PANOLIN is our range of high-performance lubricants assessed against readily biodegradable criteria (e.g. OECD 301 series criteria), [1] and formulated to demonstrate a lower aquatic environmental impact [2]. They are designed to enhance machinery efficiency by delivering extended fluid life and outstanding wear protection, helping to reduce maintenance and operating costs [3]. These fluids are particularly suited to applications requiring compliance with ISO 15380 for environmentally acceptable hydraulic fluids.

At least 87% by mass of this lubricants’ components components are readily biodegradable, achieving a passing result of ≥60% according to OECD 301B and meets the requirements of EN 17181:2019, a modified OECD 301B-based test method for determining the aerobic biodegradation of fully formulated lubricants.

Shell PANOLIN HLP Synth EAL is an Environmentally Acceptable Saturated Synthetic Ester (HEES) Hydraulic Fluid.
This hydraulic lubricant is biodegradable as per the requirements of EU Ecolabel (EEL).
Shell PANOLIN S4 HLP Synth EAL is formulated with zinc-free additive technology and high-performance fully synthetic saturated esters to help provide an outstanding blend of lubrication performance and environmental acceptability.
It is particularly suited for applications mandating Ecolabels and compliance with US EPA 2013 VGP requirements for environmentally acceptable lubricants.

S5 Grease EAL A600 0
Shell PANOLIN S5 Grease EAL A600 0 is a high performance grease based upon an anhydrous calcium soap thickener and synthetic esters, designed to offer excellent resistance to water washout, outstanding load carrying capacity and good anti-corrosion properties. For use on roller and slide bearings, conveyor and drive chains, steel ropes and cables, and open gears. It is particularly suited for applications mandating Ecolabels and compliance with US EPA 2013 VGP requirements for environmentally acceptable lubricants.

Environmentally Acceptable Synthetic Ester Extreme Pressure Universal Grease.
Shell PANOLIN S5 Grease EAL V120P 2 is a fully synthetic ester based grease formulated on lithium hydroxy stearate soap thickener and is fortified with extreme pressure, anti-oxidant, anti-wear and anti-rust additives. It is particularly suited for applications mandating Ecolabels and compliance with US EPA 2013 VGP requirements for environmentally acceptable lubricants.
