Reducing CO2 emissions and black smoke
Our most advanced fuels for heavy-duty vehicles and equipment, Shell FuelSave Diesel and Shell Diesel Extra with DYNAFLEX Technology1, are designed to help lower CO2 emissions2 and black smoke3. Their dual detergent formulation works to clean up injectors from carbon deposits and prevent further build-up, enabling improved engine efficiency and less wasted energy2.

Meeting environmental regulations
Shell Fuel Oil Plus and Shell Fuel Oil Extra are our advanced energy solutions for manufacturing, power generation and marine operations. They are designed to help lower particulate emissions and black smoke by up to 70%5. Additionally, you can benefit from reduced CO2 emissions through improved combustion and fuel efficiency5.

Tackling local air quality
Shell GTL Fuel is derived from natural gas, it is a cleaner-burning alternative fuel to diesel and can help improve local air quality7. It helps reduce emissions of local air pollutants, especially in urban areas and closed operating zones, hence is suitable for use in public transportation vehicles, inland marine vessels, construction machinery, and power generation equipment.
In line with the Dutch aviation sector’s ambition of emissions-free ground operations by 2030, Shell GTL Fuel is now used in around 4,000 vehicles at Schiphol airport.

Transport companies are increasingly looking to use biofuels in their fleet operations to help reduce environmental impact and meet emission regulations. A consideration when using biodiesel is its susceptibility to water contamination and microbial growth. Shell FuelSave Diesel and Shell Diesel Extra with DYNAFLEX Technology9 are designed to help keep fuel more stable in the presence of bio-components, thus increasing vehicle and equipment reliability10. They contain a special dehazer that promotes good water separation and reduced microbial growth10.
