MAJOR PROJECTS MOVING AHEAD
LNG Canada
LNG Canada is a major liquified natural gas (LNG) project currently under construction on the west coast of Canada.
Penguins
In January 2018 Shell took the final investment decision to redevelop the Penguins oil and gas field in the UK North Sea.
Pennsylvania Petrochemicals Complex
Shell is currently constructing the Pennsylvania Petrochemicals Complex, a major plant that will process ethane from shale gas.
Vito
In April 2018 Shell took the final investment decision to develop the Vito deep-water project in the US Gulf of Mexico. Vito will be Shell’s 11th deep-water project in the area.
Major projects on-stream
Appomattox
In May 2019, Shell started production at Appomattox, a deep-water oil and gas development that is Shell’s largest floating platform in the Gulf of Mexico.
Bonga North West
Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Ltd (SNEPCo) produces oil from the Bonga North West field in water depths of more than 1,000 metres.
Cardamom
Shell has developed the Cardamom field in the US Gulf of Mexico to produce oil and gas for the nearby Auger production hub.
Gumusut-Kakap
Shell’s first deep-water project in Malaysia uses advanced technology to safely produce and pipe oil from the Gumusut-Kakap field.
