Shell completes sale of Jiffy Lube International and Premium Velocity Auto to Monomoy Capital Partners

Houston − Shell Offshore Inc., a subsidiary of Shell plc, has agreed to sell its 50% non-operated working interest in the Na Kika platform and associated fields in the Gulf of America as well as its 100% owned Coulomb tieback. The assets will be acquired by subsidiaries of Talos Energy and Ridgewood Energy for a total consideration of $1.7 billion, subject to customary adjustments and certain contingent payments.

Shell to sell interest in Gulf of America platform

Global demand for LNG expected to grow by 65% by 2050

Global demand for liquefied natural gas (LNG) is expected to increase to nearly 700 million tonnes a year by 2050, an increase of around 65% from 2025 levels, according to Shell’s LNG Outlook 2026, as countries continue to prioritise flexible and reliable energy security offered by gas and LNG.
