LNG Portfolio - Strategic Spotlight 2026

We believe Shell's LNG business is uniquely positioned to serve our customers and create value for our shareholders. With supply from all the major gas producing regions, long-term sales focused on growth markets in Asia, and our world-class trading and optimisation capabilities, we are building a cost- and carbon-competitive portfolio.

Highlights:

• LNG is the fastest-growing energy source after non-hydro renewables. Demand for LNG is expected to increase from 422 mtpa in 2025 to between 610 mtpa and 780 mtpa by 2050.
• Further investment will be required in the 2030s and 2040s to meet even the lower range of LNG demand forecasts in 2050.
• Shell has a diverse LNG portfolio, with supply from more than 10 countries and sales in more than 30 countries.
• Shell's existing LNG plants and new developments are competitively positioned in the bottom half of the industry cost curve.
• Our current and future LNG portfolio has, and is projected to have, one of the lowest carbon intensities in our industry.
