Shell Thailand becomes the first country in South East Asia to launch Shell Mexphalte Low Temp binder

Following publicity at the Shell Seminar “Smart Technology, Smart Road”, one of the first full scale projects in South East Asia has been conducted using the technology of Shell Mexphalte Low Temp.

The project was 100-170 kilometres away from the mixing plant and therefore a product was required which could cope with the longer transportation time to the construction site. Shell Mexphalte Low Temp, which is designed to allow a longer time window for transportation and storage than conventional bitumen, was the ideal solution for the customer. Further to their successful use of this product, the customer will now be using Shell Mexphalte Low Temp for their next construction project, which will be larger in scale.
