Commitments, standards and manuals
Our Business Principles and Code of Conduct define our core values of honesty, integrity and respect for people, and are at the heart of how we manage our business. They are supported by a set of company-wide commitments, standards and requirements that define how we aim to operate in socially and environmentally responsible ways.
In This Section
The Shell Commitment and Policy on Health, Security, Safety, the Environment and Social Performance applies across Shell
We have a set of mandatory standards and corresponding manuals that apply to every Shell company to help manage the impact of our operations and projects on the environment and society
Impact assessments help us to deliver benefits through our projects and our operations, while helping to reduce their impacts on people and the environment.
We aim to provide equal opportunities and create a workplace that supports all our staff and values their differences.
We introduced a company-wide ship quality assurance standard in 2003. It defines how we vet (check the safety) of the vessels that we use.
