Globally, demand for power is increasing, along with the pressure on engineers to consistently deliver peak performance. Electricity is expected at the flick of a switch in homes and businesses alike, but too few people recognise the hard work that happens behind the scenes.
Shell invited power professionals around the world to capture and celebrate the hard work they put in each day, for the People Behind Power Photo competition.
We received numerous entries from around the world and, following a difficult judging process, have selected a global winner and runner up. To find out more, we asked them about their experiences in the power industry, what they find most rewarding and how they handle the challenges of keeping the world’s lights on.
