TAO is an integral part of Shell’s SEAM – Safety, Environment and Asset Management community that provides fit-for-purpose standards, expertise, capability, insights and integrated support to businesses and functions in their pursuit of Shell’s strategy, Powering Progress. Powering Progress sets out our strategy to accelerate the transition of our business to net-zero emissions.

The TAO team – now with 1600 staff and growing - provides a range of services that largely includes remote technical operations support to multiple assets in Integrated Gas and Renewables & Energy Solutions, Chemical & Products Manufacturing , Upstream, Sub-Surface and Wells & Reservoirs Facility Management. They partner with the business worldwide and often do so together with the deep capability of Project & Technology (P&T), Information Technology (IT) and Finance & Data Operations (FO-Data) partners.

TAO drives safe, standardised, effective and efficient process delivery, resulting in reduced costs, improved asset availability, better margin opportunities, enhanced sharing of best practices & lessons learned, and reduced greenhouse gas emissions across the portfolio.

TAO consists of four Operations teams - Subsurface & WRFM (Wells & Reservoir Facility Management), Asset Data Foundation, Equipment Care and Produce & Maintain which are accountable for efficient and effective delivery of all replicable support activity. A separate, dedicated Deployment & Capability team is accountable for successfully embedding all new and complex activity deployment, competency development, quality assurance/control and continuous improvement.

If you have the intellectual, analytical and creative ability to learn quickly, identify issues and propose solutions, TAO is the place to be.
