A wider EV network than ever – all accessible with the Shell Card

As public charging networks grow and become more readily available, on-the-go charging offers new opportunities for routing efficiency. To take advantage, you need the best possible access to these networks – along with clear visibility of which charge points and stations offer the optimal availability and options for each vehicle type. That’s exactly what Shell on-the-go charging network gives you.

Shell Recharge provides an extensive and growing network of high-quality charge points. These are located at forecourts, retail destinations and along highways for light and medium-duty fleets – as well as hybrid and dedicated Shell Recharge stations for heavy-duty vehicles.

And to make charging as easy and straightforward as possible, we also offer access to a third-party roaming network and we are constantly increasing the number of sites where the Shell Card is accepted.

1 million+

Continuously growing network of 1 million+ public charge points for light and medium-duty fleets, including Shell Recharge and third-party roaming locations.

17

The Shell Card with EV charging functionality is available for order in 17 countries globally.

30+

30+ multi-energy Shell Recharge truck sites (covering refuelling and recharging).

100+

100+ truck-suitable roaming commercial partner charging sites.

The Shell Card: gateway to seamless electrification

The Shell Card ties every element of the Shell EV charging ecosystem together, streamlining how your drivers interact with infrastructure and how you manage your fleet.

With a single payment solution for secure, contactless charging, you no longer have to manage the complexity of multiple EV charging networks.

Simplicity and control

The Shell Card gives you full control over all mobility spending with a single integrated payment solution. This includes real-time spend limits, usage restrictions and other security controls, even across a mixed fleet, such as those that contain passenger cars, vans, medium- and heavy-duty vehicles, or a mix of ICE, EV and hybrid.

Smarter pricing capabilities

Flexible and tailored pricing simplifies everything from expense forecasting to roaming charges, giving you greater certainty in your operational spending. You can set agreed discount levels on specific charging locations and establish list pricing for all your EV transactions across the country.

One unified view

View all this data in Shell Fleet Hub or integrate it into your own systems using APIs. Every transaction is captured in a unified view, simplifying everything from reimbursements to carbon reporting.

Rewards for drivers

Through the Shell loyalty programmes, your drivers can earn rewards when they charge at Shell Recharge sites (depending on the country they charge in). Whatever country your drivers make a stop in, though, they can use Shell service stations to collect and redeem points on their food and drink purchases.

How Shell Fleet Solutions is helping G4S meet their decarbonisation goals Transcript

[Background music plays]

Bass drum, sparse piano, and electronic arpeggios pulse along in steady rhythm, creating a pensive, dramatic effect.

In near-total darkness, a bay door which fills the entire frame begins to open, slowly moving up from the bottom of the frame, revealing the lower half of a person standing outside the door in shadow with a fleet of blue G4S vans visible behind them.

[Voice-over]

The very nature of the work at G4S involves risk.

A shot of a security camera is briefly shown. The person, in a hard hat and security vest, carries a heavy-duty case out to one of the vans. A close-up is shown of the van door, which reads, Electric Vehicle Zero Emissions, as the person puts the case into the van and closes the door. In quick succession the van is shown backing out of its parking spot, pulling out of the lot, driving down a tree-lined main road, and then pulling into a Shell station.

[Voice-over]

When moving large quantities of money, the last thing the drivers should be worrying about is where to charge their vehicle on the go.

The van drives across the screen from right to left, revealing the on-screen text.
