About Shell Marine Fuels
Shell has decades of experience in the marine fuel market, with a supply network that covers many of the key bunkering locations in the world.
Shell’s portfolio of marine fuels encompasses a suite of fuels which include High and Low Sulpur Fuel Oil, Gas Oil and LNG. As one of the world’s largest producers, refiners and shippers of oil and gas, Shell works to apply the highest standards of safety and operational integrity across the full range of its operations.
Shell has been a pioneer in the LNG industry and was involved in the first-ever LNG plant in Algeria in 1964. At Shell we have used this knowledge and expertise to extend the LNG market beyond its current primary use of generating electricity, into transport. LNG is cost competitive and is a lower carbon option that can help ship and fleet owners/operators to reduce their emissions.
The 2015 market introduction of Shell’s Ultra Low Sulphur Fuel Oil (ULSFO), meeting ISO 8217:2010, is another attractive Sulphur Emission Control Area (SECA) compliant fuel solution.
Our marine account managers are connected to our global operations and will ensure prompt and helpful responses to your bunker enquiries. Please click on “contact Shell Marine” to get in touch and find out more on the benefits of our fuels.
