and their operators to ensure we understand their friction points

or challenges in operation

and that we can improve efficiencies

through leveraging a number of lubricant

as well as service solutions

to help improve and reduce their total cost of ownership.

[Subtitles on screen]

The difference in using oil and grease

in robotic systems is mainly depending

on the application from the OEM

[Visual]

Screen transitions to an animation of a robot arm moving around and showcasing the internal bearings of an RV reducer. A call out box ‘Shell Gadus S4 V80 XE’ is included on the screen.

[Subtitles on screen continue]

the environment

and also the design of the OEM.

For example, the Shell Gadus S4 V80 XE

was especially designed for the RV reducers.

and there the focus was more to control

the friction regime of the bearings in the RV

to make sure we increase the lifetime.

Next to that,

[Visual]

Screen transitions to Edward Worthington speaking and facing towards the camera.

[Subtitles on screen continue]

we have the development of the harmonic drive greases

where we specially focus on film strength

which gives protection to the gears.

For both that means we get a longer lifetime

and you have a reduction on your downtime.

[Visual]

Transition to animation of four robotic arms working on a car manufacturing line with car parts at the side.

[Subtitles on screen continue]

When using high quality lubricants,

they basically reduce the friction,

are more stable over a longer time

and are better resistant against environmental circumstances.

[Visual]

Transition to animation of one robotic arm from the car manufacturing line highlighting in circles the three RV gear reducers. The animation moves to the side and showcases icons on the right side corresponding to: noise, friction, corrosion, leakage, arctic temperatures and odour.

A white background appears with text overlay. The title reads ‘High performance and failure prevention under typical operational challenges’ The screen also includes icons corresponding to: noise, friction, corrosion, leakage, arctic temperatures and odour.

[Subtitles on screen continue]

In the end it helps down

to increase the equipment life and reduce downtime.

[Visual]

Screen transitions to clip with six robotic arms in action building cars on the manufacturing line.

Long lasting gear oils that help improve performance

[Visual]

[Subtitles on screen continue]

Shell Robotic Gear Oil S4 150

is a high performance, synthetic lubricant

designed especially for use

in RV gear reducers in industrial robotics.

[Visual]

Screen transitions to animation of a dissected RV gear reducer with a call out text box ‘Shell Robotic Gear Oil S4 150’ on the right of the screen

[Subtitles on screen continue]

The synthetic technology provides operators

with a long oil drain interval in excessive

of over 24 thousand hours of service.

[Visual]

Screen transitions back to Dr Felix speaking facing the camera.

[Subtitles on screen continue]

Further, its frictional coefficient

as well as its low carrying capability

and anti-wear performance

provides exceptional protection for gears and bearings in robotics.

[Visual]

Screen transitions back to Dr Felix speaking facing the camera.

[Subtitles on screen continue]

So thanks to its very low pour point

and low temperature fluidity

as well as it high viscosity index,

Shell robotic gear oil S4 150 is also suitable for applications

across a wide variety of operating temperatures.
