Performance fuel sponsor for Top Gear Festival Durban

Shell South Africa today announced its continued sponsorship of the Top Gear Festival at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban. Running from 15 to 16 June 2013, Shell is building on the success of last year’s event to make sure that visitors to the Top Gear Festival experience the premium Shell V-Power fuel’s performance promise in action.

Shell reaches settlement with Competition Commission on bitumen case

PRETORIA – February 21, 2012 – Shell South Africa today reached a settlement agreement with the Competition Commission to pay an administrative penalty of R26.2 million for its involvement in the use of a pricing methodology for bitumen. The pricing methodology was agreed within the Southern African Bitumen Association (SABITA), of which Shell is a member.
Exploration Right Awarded in Orange Basin Offshore South Africa

CAPE TOWN – February 10, 2012 – The Minister of Mineral Resources has awarded Shell South Africa Upstream B.V. an exploration right in the Orange Basin Deep Water area off the north-west coast of South Africa.
