  • 07/01/2012 Shell in Oman launches “Together for Accident Free Oman” Campaign

    Under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Ali Bin Taleb Al Hanai, Undersecretary for Planning – Ministry of Health, Shell Development Oman has partnered with Sheida International and Co. and Oman Road Safety Association to launch ‘Together for Accident Free Oman’ a road safety initiative aimed to reduce the grim accident rates in Oman and to raise road safety awareness among the public. This campaign is a part of Shell’s ongoing efforts towards road safety in Oman which has a disturbing average rate of three accidents and 30 injuries every day.

  • 08/10/2011 Shell sings MOU with the Ministry of Education to train 180 school bus drivers

    Stemming from a strong desire by Shell Development Oman to do its part in supporting the efforts of the Ministry of Education in continuing its ongoing development of its educational services, and as a continuation of Shell’s ongoing efforts in the field of road safety, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Shell Development Oman LLC and the Ministry of Education to train (180) school bus drivers from various regions on a specific defensive driving programme conducted by ROP’s Traffic Safety Institute.

  • 06/10/2011 Shell launches its fourth consecutive year 'Career Awareness Programme'

    Shell Development Oman launched with the cooperation of SQU’s Career Guidance Centre at Sultan Qaboos University “Shell Career Awareness Programme” under the auspicious of Dr. Said bin Ali Al Yahyai, Vice Chancellor of Sultan Qaboos University for Acedemic Affairs and Community Service. The ceremony was attended by a number of officials from the public and private sectors along with a large number of SQU students who have attended the first workshop of the programme which took place after the inauguration ceremony.

  • 13/06/2011 Shell conducts four professional training programmes

    Shell Development Oman conducted four different training programmes for a number of Omani employees working in both the public and private sector establishment during May and beginning of June. These training programmes are part of Shell Professional Training scheme, one of Shell’s active social investment initiatives in the Sultanate.

    Shell Road Safety Awards 2010 was held at the Traffic Safety Institute in Seeb under the auspices of Her Excellency Dr. Madiha bint Ahmed Al Shaibani, Minister of Education, and was attended by a number of senior officials from the ministry of Education, Royal Oman Police, and Shell Development Oman.

  • 30/05/2011 Shell Development Oman sign five agreements to train and employ young Omanis

    Shell Development Oman signed at its office in Mina Al Fahal five agreements to train and employ in various sectors 106 young Omani jobseekers as part of its social investment programme initiatives in the Sultanate.

  • 09/05/2011 Shell holds “Careers & Prospects 2011” event and graduates 103 young Omanis who got employed in various sectors

    Held this morning at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Muscat, Shell oragnised its “Careers & Prospects 2011” event under the auspices of H.E. Dr. Muna bin Salim Al Jardaniah, Undersecretary of Ministry of Manpower for Technological Education & Vocational Training, and attended by a number of their Excellencies and senior officials from various government and private sector establishments to celebrate the graduation of 103 young Omanis who completed their training for employment programmes.

  • 03/05/2011 Shell kicks off its first training programme for 2011

    Shell Development Oman kicked off its first training programme scheduled for 2011, part of its professional training programme theme which is considered as one of its ongoing social investment initiatives in the Sultanate. Shell Training Programmes allow Omani employees from both public and private sector establishment and NGOs to participate, at no charge, to help them develop their abilities and enhance their skills in their professional careers.

  • 14/03/2011 Shell Road Safety Awards 2011 launched

    Shell Road Safety Awards 2011 was launched in a press conference held on Monday morning at the Traffic Safety Institute in Seeb. The press conference was attended by the main committee of the awards represented by the Ministry of Education, Royal Oman Police, and Shell Development Oman, in addition to the awards regional supervisors as well as members from press and media.

  • 05/02/2011 Closing Ceremony of the Road safety Awareness sessions Campaign

    The nationwide road safety awareness sessions campaign “The road is for all, and compliance is the solution” ended in a spectacular final ceremony held at Qurum Natural Park’s city amphitheatre under the auspices of H.E. Engineer, Sultan bin Hamdoon Al Harthy, President of Muscat Municipality, and was attended by a number of their excellences, along with a number of senior officials from the organizations that supported and sponsored this campaign. In addition to invited guests from both the public and private sector, as well as public audience.
