On March 29th 2014, Shell Development Oman (SDO) switched off all nonessential lighting in a bid to support the global initiative “Earth Hour.”

Shell-Intilaaqah Oman recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Future Generations International LLC (FGI) to support entrepreneurs in small and medium enterprise development. The MOU was signed by Chris Breeze, General Manager and Shell Country Chairman Oman, and by Mr. Taqi Ali Sultan, General Manager of FGI, at Shell’s office in Mina Al Fahal.
Shell Development Oman (SDO) was recently honored with a prize from the Royal Oman Police (ROP) for its successful year of road safety initiatives. Hilal Al-Mawali, General Manager of External Affairs, SDO, received the award on Sunday at the ROP Traffic Institute theatre in Seeb, Muscat. SDO was joined by two other award winners, Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) and Oman LNG (OLNG), both companies of which Shell Oman is a shareholder.
Senior representatives from the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Sports and the Oman Football Association joined members of Shell Oman’s senior leadership team and FC Barcelona Foundation this week to celebrate the culmination of the highly successful first phase of the youth football program FutbolNet. Festivals were held in Sohar, Bediya, and Muscat between November 29th and December 7th. The Muscat festival also celebrated the participation Oman’s Barka and Fanja regions.
