Shell Development Oman (SDO) was recently honored with a prize from the Royal Oman Police (ROP) for its successful year of road safety initiatives. Hilal Al-Mawali, General Manager of External Affairs, SDO, received the award on Sunday at the ROP Traffic Institute theatre in Seeb, Muscat. SDO was joined by two other award winners, Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) and Oman LNG (OLNG), both companies of which Shell Oman is a shareholder.
Senior representatives from the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Sports and the Oman Football Association joined members of Shell Oman’s senior leadership team and FC Barcelona Foundation this week to celebrate the culmination of the highly successful first phase of the youth football program FutbolNet. Festivals were held in Sohar, Bediya, and Muscat between November 29th and December 7th. The Muscat festival also celebrated the participation Oman’s Barka and Fanja regions.
An awards ceremony for the winners of Shell Road Safety Awards 2012 was held at the Traffic Safety Institute in A'Seeb under the auspices of His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Saidi, Minister of Health. The ceremony was held in the presence of Her Excellency Dr. Madiha bint Ahmed Al Shaibaniya, Minister of Education, Mr. John Blascos, Shell Oman Country Chairman and a number of senior officials from the Ministry of Education, Royal Oman Police, and Shell Development Oman. Invitees from different public and private organizations also attended the ceremony.
