EXCELLENT WEAR PROTECTION

Shell Rotella^® T3 Energized Protection™ is specifically designed for fleets. Its formulation features low-ash additive technology, outstanding shear stability, and an all-group-II base-stock formulation for exceptional viscosity control and protection throughout the oildrain interval. Shell Rotella^® T3 also provides improved wear resistance and engine durability over API CI-4 PLUS oils and improved oxidation for outstanding heat resistance and severe-duty operation.

Shell Rotella^® T3 Energized Protection™ has excellent viscosity control delivered through resistance to both shear-down and, in particular, soot-induced thickening. It helps maintain oil pressure and maintain optimal oil-film thickness in critical bearings and other sliding contacts. This helps provide excellent resistance to viscosity breakdown in heavily loaded areas of
the engine.

EXCEPTIONAL DEPOSIT CONTROL

A clean engine is critical for efficient operation and long engine life. Shell Rotella^® T3 has been shown to keep engines cleaner than previous-generation API CI-4 PLUS oils.

It contains highly active ashless dispersants to deliver exceptional cleanliness and deposit control:

• On-highway experience in Mercedes-Benz, Caterpillar, and Detroit Diesel engines show virtually no sludge in rocker covers, valve decks or oil sumps

EXCEPTIONAL ACID CONTROL
Shell Rotella^® T3 is formulated with high TBN and high levels of antioxidants, which help neutralize acids formed during combustion under normal and extended oil drains. Insufficient acid neutralization during an oil drain can lead to corrosion of critical parts within the engine and a potential shortening of engine life. Shell Rotella^® T3 has provided excellent acid neutralization during millions of miles of on-highway service, for both normal and extended oil drains. Shell Rotella^® T3 provides high TBN to protect during normal and extended oil drains.

When used in conjunction with oil-analysis programs, such as Shell LubeAnalyst™, high TBN can contribute to improved operational efficiency for your fleet while also providing effective protection against harmful wear, corrosion and deposits.

ENHANCED SOOT CONTROL

Shell Rotella^® T3 Energized Protection^™ has 45% improved soot control for enhanced protection against oil thickening.* And its performance has not only been lab tested, it's been road proven with 40% better soot control.* Over 24 million miles of real-world on-the-road testing in 2007- and-older engines confirms its outstanding viscosity control.

Shell Rotella^® T3 NG Energized Protection^™ oil

Shell Rotella^® T3 NG oil is suitable for mobile applications like buses and trucks fitted with engines designed to run on 100% CNG and is suitable for use in Cummins, Detroit Diesel, and Hyundai CNG engines.

PROTECTIVE POWER

• Good piston and engine cleanliness – Optimized balance of detergents and dispersants provides good pisto and engine cleanliness to promote long operation
• Ignition system protection – Optimized formulation with reduced levels of “ash” containing additives to control deposit formation in the combustion chamber to help prolong the life of valves and spark plugs
