On 7th June 2010, a senior delegation from Kuwait Petroleum Corporation and subsidiaries visited Royal Dutch Shell Head Quarters

The delegation, represented by Mr. Sami Al-Rushaid, Chairman of Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), Mr. Hashim Al-Rifaai, Chairman of Oil Development Company (ODC) & Planning Managing Director and Mr. Hussain Esmaiel , Chairman and MD KPI met senior Shell officials to discuss joint projects status and future cooperation between Royal Dutch Shell plc and Kuwait Petroleum Corporation.

The delegation was received by Mr. Peter Voser, Chief Executive Royal Dutch Shell plc, and senior Shell executives in the Middle East region
Early in 2010, Shell and Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) signed an Agreement for development of the Jurassic Gas fields in Kuwait, to support KOC in managing the ongoing development of the Jurassic Gas fields. In addition, Shell’s operational excellence and diverse LNG portfolio, supported signing an LNG supply contract to cover peak summer periods between April-October for the years 2010-2013.
