    Kuwait, August 2010: Shell Kuwait collaborated with LoYAC’s Summer Program, to host two students - Lulwa Al Fazia’a and Jasmine Hatahet for an extensive training program which lasted for six weeks. During this time, the interns understood the fundamentals of working with a multinational and the company’s various divisions. With a focus on human resources and External Affairs- the students assisted with Admin level work.

    The delegation, represented by Mr. Sami Al-Rushaid, Chairman of Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), Mr. Hashim Al-Rifaai, Chairman of Oil Development Company (ODC) & Planning Managing Director and Mr. Hussain Esmaiel , Chairman and MD KPI met senior Shell officials to discuss joint projects status and future cooperation between Royal Dutch Shell plc and Kuwait Petroleum Corporation.

  • 27/04/2010 KPC and Shell Sign LNG Supply Deal For Summer Demand

    Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) and Shell International Trading Middle East Limited (SHELL) have signed a supply agreement to import liquefied natural gas (LNG) into the State of Kuwait to help meet demand during peak summer periods between April-October for the years 2010-2013.

    Gas consumption in the Middle East region is predicted to grow by about 5 per cent per annum, similar to China and twice as fast as in the major European economies. By 2015, total consumption in the Middle East will have almost caught up with consumption in the major European economies, Malcolm Brinded, Shell Executive Director, Upstream International, informed the 18th Annual Middle East Petroleum and Gas Conference (MPGC), held under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdallah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Minister of Oil & Minister of Information.

  • 17/02/2010 Shell To Provide Technical Support In Kuwait Gas Field Development

    Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) and Shell signed on 17th February 2010 an Enhanced Technical Service Agreement for development of the Jurassic Gas fields. The agreement builds on a 60 year relationship between Shell and Kuwait. Under the contract, Shell will deploy technical experts to Kuwait to support KOC in its management of the ongoing development of the Jurassic Gas fields. This project is both complicated and challenging, due to unconventional geological formations, difficult reservoir conditions and complex gas compositions.

  • 10/01/2010 Kuwait Shell Hosts Successful Environmental Awareness Workshops for 300 Students at The New English School

    Kuwait Shell recently held the 3R “Reduce, Reuse and Recycle” workshops program at the New English School (NES). The workshops were delivered over a period of one week, in collaboration with Mad Science, which is an independent science enrichment provider that delivers hands on educational science experiences for children.
