Kuwait – December 22nd, 2009: Yesterday, Royal Dutch Shell CEO Peter Voser visited Kuwait for the first time since his appointment in July 2009. During his visit, Voser, accompanied by Kuwait Shell Chairman, Ahmed Mouti, met with His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, and CEO of KPC, Saad Al Shuwaib, as well as a number of Chairmen and Managing Directors of KPC’s subsidiaries. The visit aimed to reinforce Shell’s commitment to Kuwait and discuss areas of cooperation across the energy value chain.

Kuwait Shell has highlighted Shell’s experience and vital role in Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) during its sponsorship of the Kuwait International Petroleum Conference and Exhibition (KIPCE). The event, which was organized under the theme of “Meeting Energy Demand For Long Term Economic Growth”, took place during the 14th-16th of December at the Kuwait Hilton Resort.

Kuwait Shell hosted an exciting Road Safety Campaign in Kuwait with renowned Formula 3 racer, Basil Shaaban engaging in interactive sessions with employees at Kuwait Petroleum Corporation and its subsidiaries, as well as with young students at the American University of Kuwait, Kuwait University’s College of Engineering and Loyac.
