Social investment is Shell’s voluntary contribution to support communities and the broader society in which we operate. In 2008, our country operations spent a total of approximately $148 million on social investment.
Contributing to sustainable development is integral to the way we do business. Shell Foundation aims to create solutions to Global poverty and environmental challenges linked to energy and globalisation. This involves applying market principles and Business DNA- Business thinking models and discipline – to figure out solutions to developmental challenges This ‘more than money’ approach is what sets us apart from traditional foundations.
Hazira LNG and Port Companies, work in close collaboration with Village Community institutions, the Forest Department, Village Panchayats, NGO’s and experts from Agricultural Universities to lead this effort.
Safe Fleets is an initiative to prevent death or injuries, caused by road traffic accidents, through the implementation of Road Transport Safety Management system in organisations.
