 Shell Companies in Thailand donated Baht 6.5 million to the Treasury Department, Ministry of Finance, for the construction of two Shell pavilions in the Benjasiri Park, dedicated to commemorate Her Majesty the Queen's 60th birthday. The two pavilions, situated at the main entrance of the park and designed in the style of traditional Thai architecture, house exhibits from various projects initiated and supported by Her Majesty the Queen. |
 To help conserve and promote arts and culture of Thai national heritage, Shell has collected several precious art pieces in paintings and sculptures by famous artists in Thailand. In the lobby of the Shell House, one can find a masterpiece painting of the well-known Tawan Dutchanee depicting a story from the teachings of Buddha. A collection of early paintings by Chakrapan Posayakrit featuring eminent characters in Thai literature is displayed in the executive board room. The Magic Flute—the renowned piece of sculpture by Khien Yimsiri created in 1949 together with some other famous pieces are also kept in the building. |
