Crew Resource Management Simulator Course |
 |
This 5 day course combines Crew Resource Management theory with practical workshops and tactical decision simultations, training deck & engine officers together as a shipboard team. The course is designed to enhance competence of resource management and main areas of the course include co-operation & teamwork; situational awareness; critical thinking; decision making; human error; leadership & workload management; risk & crisis management. It is our aim to replicate shipboard teams during these courses. As such participants may be required to attend courses outside of their home country.

Stage 3 Command and Control Fire Course |

This is a 4 day highly demanding course undertaken at the Fire Services Training College, the facility used by various UK and European Fire Services for their officer training. The course is designed to develop Senior Fleet Officers' ability to take charge of incidents involving fire through a progression of lectures, table top exercises and practical "live" fire simulated incidents. It also incorporates the latest LNG fre fighting techniques.

Lloyds Register Ship Survey & Inspection Course |

This is a 5 day course held by Lloyds Register. This course gives a clear insight into classification requirements and the role of Class Societies. It inclues areas such as:- Periodical Survey Cycles, Condition Assessments, ISPS code, MARPOL, Shipboard preparation for surveys, Port State reinforcement of rule and highlights potential problems commonly found. Additionally it covers critical information on hull inspection, damage and repair. It provides the skills required to help understand the different types of defects and damage that occur in ship structures, thereby assisting with reliable inspection techniques and better understanding of the ship condition. Contained within this course are particular modules detailing relevant sections of the LR Hull Planned Maintenance Scheme.

Junior Officer Workshop & Shipboard Safety Officer Course |

This 4 day course is held in STASCO London and is designed to develop Officers interpersonal skills, team building and develop IT training. The course also incorporates Shipboard Safety Officer training. There is also full opportunity for discussions and feedback with Superintendents.

High Voltage Training Course |
 |
With the increasing use of +450 Volts with onboard equipment, this course is aimed at both electrical and non-electrical personnel required to carry out restricted switching duties and includes preparation procedures for using HV equipment safely. The course introduces personnel to the basic concepts of Electrical Power Systems, enabling them to enter substations, carry out restricted switching duties and monitor the performance and condition of the system in a safe and competent manner.

Gas & Petroleum Tanker Safety Course |

This is a one week course covering the STCW95 requirements for senior Officers with immediate responsibility for loading, carrying and discharging gas & Petroleum cargoes. A course certificate is issued by the college, which may be converted to a certificate of competency endorsement when seatime requirements have been met.
