Shell Pakistan recently launched a dedicated relief effort in the north of Pakistan to provide as much help as possible to alleviate sufferings of the poor and needy, as a result of the devestating aftermath of the recent spate of unprecedented heavy rains, snowfalls and landslides, which have not yet abated.

 Shell Pakistan has mobilized their own doctors, ambulances and paramedical staff, who are working round the clock to provide as much help as possible. A medical assitance camp was initiated by Mr. Farooq Rahmatullah (Managing, Director) on the request of Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources mr. Aman-ullah Khan Jadoon to the people affected from this year's rain and snow in the remote areas of Hazara. The Shell Mobile Health Team carried out free consultation (check up) and distributed free of charge medicines to the entire population in the initial phase.

 The camp activities were overseen by the Shell Pakistan's Country Health and HSSE Advisor, Dr. Tahir Barlas and Dr. Mussadiq adn Nadeem Durrani (Project Manager, Forestation), who motivated the Health Team in doing a remarkable job by providing excellent service tot he young and old alike in this community outreach program. Special thanks to GlaxcoSmithKline, Novartis, Pfizer, Aventis for their generous contribution towards this good cause in the second phase of roll-out.
