Location The academy is located at Shell and BP Nairobi Terminal in Industrial Area. It has a capacity of 15 drivers per session. By having a session every month, up to 180 drivers can be trained annually. Trainees The academy will initially target Kenya Shell/BP Kenya Ltd staff and contractors' drivers. It is well equipped with resources including two trainers, a spacious lecture room, modern teaching aids, relevant literature and vehicles for demonstration. Entry requirements They include a valid driving licence, AA Certificate of competence, a certificate of good conduct and a medical certificate in addition to minimum and maximum age of 24 and 55 years respectively. The drivers should be literate enough to understand the course content. Scope The course covers defensive driving, product handling , fire fighting, first aid, traffic law, incident reporting aids and vehicle requirements among other topics.
