 The use of LPG in India was pioneered by Burmah Shell under the brand name 'Burshane'. As a result of nationalization, Shell's network and asset base was transferred to Government oil companies. Consequent to the government permitting parallel marketers to operate, Shell reiterated its stance in the business of LPG in India with the brand "Shell Gas "in 1993. The business, currently being carried out through Shell Gas (LPG) India Pvt. Ltd, a 100% subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell Group, ensures the highest standard of customer service, technical know-how and best practices. Shell Gas (LPG) India has continuously been awarded a "Grade 1" rating by CRISIL.

 Shell Gas (LPG) India has a dedicated LPG import and storage facility with a captive storage of 2700 MTs and a handling capacity of 90,000 MTPA at Piapvav, Gujarat. Our Bottling plants in the States of operation ensure a sound link in the supply chain of cylinders and LPG from the Terminal our customers. Shell Gas (LPG) India has a network of distributors located in major industrial / commercial belts of western India. |

Shell Gas provides high quality LPG having calorific value, vapour pressure and combustion characteristics appropriate for a spectrum of industrial, commercial and domestic applications. This enables finer temperature control, better fuel efficiency, required vapour pressures and low residues. The LPG supplied by us confirms to IS:4576. |
