|
Shell in China buys UNICEF greetings cards each year. The money we spent went towards protecting young children against Hepatitis B, providing teaching kits for primary schools in rural and remote areas, and preventing human trafficking of children and women.

HIV/AIDS Awareness Programme |
|
Shell is sponsoring a HIV/AIDS prevention and education programme for families in Aksu Prefecture in Xinjiang through the Xinjiang Children Development Centre and local branches of the All China Women's Federation. The programme is designed to raise the awareness of HIV/AIDS and build capacity to fight the disease.

Tibet Medical Support |

Shell has sponsored the publication and free distribution of 11,000 copies of the Tibetan language version of "Where There Is No Doctor", a basic medical book. The books are being distributed to rural medical practitioners in Tibetan areas of Tibet, Sichuan, Qinghai, Gansu and Yunnan.

Supported by Shell, the International Friends of Great Wall and other local partners are organizing exhibitions, seminars, publications and workshops to promote awareness of conservation of the Great Wall in China.
