 Working with Shell China, the Institute of Environment and Development (IED), has developed a teaching module designed to teach schoolchildren how renewable energy works using a practical kit. Since 2003, we have run "train-the-trainer" courses in Xian, Jiaxian, Shannxi Province, Tianjin, Beijing and Shanghai for 570 teachers. More than 30 schools from Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Nanjing, Yueyang, Shaanxi and Hubei Province have adopted this course into their curriculum. Each year, about 2,000 students will get practical training in renewable energy. |
