Shell Cariphalte is designed for the most rigorous pavement conditions and longer pavement life. Shell Cariphalte is a specially formulated polymer modified bitumen based on carefully-chosen combinations of bitumen and thermoplastic elastomers which significantly change the way the bitumen behaves. Shell Cariphalte has a proven track record around the globe and was the binder used to pave the Sepang International Formula 1 Circuit near Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Pavements based on Shell Cariphalte have been shown to resist the following effectively:

• Cracking
• Stripping
• Ageing
• Fuelsafe

Shell Cariphalte TS	For use in thin surfacing and stone mastic asphalt applications
Shell Cariphalte DA	For use in drainage (porous) asphalt applications
Shell Cariphalte Fuelsafe	For an enhanced level of fuel resistance at heavily loaded traffic areas
Shell Cariphalte Race Track	For motor-racing circuits and test tracks
Shell Cariphalte DM	For asphalt mixtures designed for high resistance to permanent deformation and high flexibility
Shell Cariphalte FM	For fuel resistance in mastic asphalt applications such as car parks and bus lanes
