- Shell Oil Company and Motiva Enterprises LLC donated $2 million directly to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund for Hurricane Katrina and will match employee and retiree donations to the American Red Cross for up to $1 million.
- Shell donated $25,000 to AmeriCares Foundation to support the Louisiana efforts.

- Shell/Motiva Norco donated $40,000 to hire a contractor to clean up debris in Norco Community.

- Shell Oil Company donated $150,000 to National Rebuilding Together ($100,000 for SE Texas affiliate to repair homes/$50,000 to support New Orleans rebuilding efforts).

- SEPCO donated $35,000 to Audubon Nature Institute to organize relief efforts and zoo mobile.
- SEPCO donated $100,000 to Greater New Orleans Inc. for their hospital and bio-medical industry recovery initiative for the New Orleans region.
- SEPCO donated $25,000 to the Public Affairs Research Council (PAR) to initiate a post-Katrina statewide education research project.
- SEPCO donated $500,000 to the New Orleans Police Foundation for police, fire and EMS first-responders whose homes were destroyed by Katrina.
- SEPCO donated $200,000 to launch the LSU/Shell Stewardship Initiative, a wetlands-oriented project consistent with Shell’s broader Wetlands sponsorships.

- SEPCO Robert Training Center donated emergency generators and food for St. Tammany Hospital in Covington, LA.
- SEPCO Robert Training Center provided Room and Board for Louisiana/Kentucky/George/New Mexico State Police during relief efforts.
- Shell and Motiva donated computers and IT expertise for installation and programming to serve Houston shelters creating the Shell Information Center.
- Pennzoil and Quaker State supplied 15,000 shirts, 8,000 toys and 4,000 radios with flashlights to the Astrodome.
- Deer Park Refinery contributed 200 cots to a local Texas shelter.
- One hundred-fifteen Shell V-Power billboards across the country were donated and changed to advertise the American Red Cross disaster donations phone number and Web site.
- Shell also donated three days of radio airtime in five markets to the American Red Cross to use for hurricane relief efforts.

- Shell/Motiva Norco donated 60 gallons of fuel to area Volunteer Fire Departments.
- Shell/Motiva Norco donated 809 gallons of fuel to Louisiana State Police Department.
- Shell/Motiva Norco donated 2,530 gallons of fuel to U.S. Coast Guard.
- Shell/Motiva Norco donated 2,700 gallons of fuel to Robert Training Center.
- Motiva Commercial/SEPCO donated 9,000 gallons of gas to City of New Orleans.
- Motiva Commercial/SEPCO donated 16,000 gallons of gas and 16,000 gallons of diesel to Plaquemine’s Parish.
- Shell Oil Products US/SEPCO donated 2,000 gallons of unleaded gas to LSU Medical Center in Bogalusa, LA.
- Shell Oil Products US /SEPCO donated 2,000 gallons of diesel fuel to Town of Abbeville, LA for relief efforts.

- Shell aircraft were used for food drops that fed both animals and staff at the New Orleans Audubon Institute Center for Research and Endangered Species.
- Shell/Motiva Norco donated trailers to FEMA in the St. Charles Parish EOC area.
- Shell and Motiva employees, retirees, and family members are operating a Shell Volunteer Center to match Shell volunteers with disaster relief activities. Five thousand people have volunteered over 21,000 hours to a variety of relief efforts.
- Shell and Motiva volunteers have provided assistance to a variety of community organizations, including the Astrodome/Reliant Shelters, GR Brown Convention Center, the Houston Food Bank, Volunteer Houston, the Salvation Army, Star of Hope, Interfaith Ministries, the American Red Cross Phone Banks, the Red Cross at St. Agnes, NAACP, and the City of Houston.
- Shell is partnering with the Houston Food Bank and the American Red Cross to conduct a food drive to provide relief for the tens of thousands of people using Houston as their refuge from the aftermath of Katrina. Approximately 200 Shell locations in the Houston area are participating in the drive, which lasts through the end of September.
- Shell became the first-ever “Presenting Sponsor” of the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.
- Nearly 120 employees, family members and friends from Houston volunteered at the New Orleans Jazz Fest. Collectively, these volunteers contributed more than 1,400 hours over a six-day period to support the Shell-sponsored event.

- Shell and Motiva has provided more than $45 million in hurricane-related employee assistance programs.
- Approximately $28 million in Interest-Free Loans. The amount of funding dispersed was based on each employee’s unique situation, with a total available amount of $50,000 for employees with major damage to their primary residence.
- Shell and Motiva has provided approximately $7.3 million in relocation supplements ($6 million in temporary housing funds, $1 million in per diem funds, and more than $2 million in temporary living expenses supplements for affected domestic and expatriate employees whose homes were not habitable or where the community infrastructure has been significantly damaged.)
- An additional $480,000 in employee assistance reimbursements we provided to employees that provided housing to displaced family and friends due to the hurricanes.
- Toll-free employee-assistance hotlines (866-745-5489 and 877-40-SHELL) were immediately established and heavily publicized to locate all staff, and to answer employee questions about pay, housing, loans, and other assistance.
