Fabio was born in Italy in 1964, graduated in Mechanical Engineering and obtained an MBA in Milan. He started his career in IBM and then moved to Indesit (white goods producer) covering different commercial and business development positions. He joined Shell in 1995 and covered various operational and strategy/portfolio positions in Downstream in Europe before becoming Retail Manager in Italy. He then joined the Global Downstream Strategy and Portfolio team as General Manager portfolio projects in Europe. He was Country Chairman in Italy until January 2007 when he joined the International Department in The Hague.
