Andrew was appointed Head of UK Communications in January 2007 with responsibility for leading the communications strategy in the UK both internally and externally. Andrew is on the Board of Shell U.K. Holdings, Chairman of the CBI London Council, Chairman of the South Bank Employers Group and a Board member of London Sustainability Exchange. Until the end of 2006 Andrew was Director London Office where he was accountable for Shell Centre and other properties in the London area. He also represented Shell in London in various fora. Andrew joined Shell in 1974 in the Chemicals business where he has spent much of his career. He worked in marketing and business development in the UK, then business planning in Colombia and Chemicals general management in Zambia. From 1985 he worked in London in business management for products such as Urethanes and was responsible for the Chemicals Business in the Middle East and North Africa. From 1990 he was Head of the Elastomer’ s business for the Latin America, Africa and the Far East. In 1994 he moved to Singapore as Managing Director of an Ethylene Glycol and derivatives marketing and manufacturing 70/30 joint venture company with 10 Japanese partners. From 1998 to 2002 back in London, he led various change management projects in Chemicals focussing upon cost leadership and globalisation.
