Normal tours away are 4 months.
Senior Officers will earn 28 days leave per month served on board, Junior Officers will earn 21 days per month served on board and cadets will earn 7 days leave per month served on board.
There are several communications facilities available on-board - satelite telephone, free personal email account and of course normal mail. Your mobile phone will also work when in range.
You will be flown from your nearest airport, met by one of our agents, taken to a hotel overnight if necessary, then collected and taken to the ship.
The same process also applies when travelling home.
The current salary for a newly appointed Fleet Officer ranges from £20,000 to £25,000 per annum, possibly tax exempt. Captains and Chief Engineers can earn in the region of £50,000 per annum.
Shell ships generally have swimming pools, an extensive video library, gymnasiums, table tennis and even a ship's bar.
