Advanced Engine Research new associate for Shell

Shell Racing Solutions has agreed a technical association with race engine builder Advanced Engine Research to offer the benefits of its passion for technology in motorsport to more competitors.

 

Advanced Engine Research Ltd, based in the UK, specializes in the design and manufacture of high performance engines and has successfully introduced both innovative clean sheet designs and engines derived from existing road car platforms.

 

The company has been designing, building and developing racing engines for a number of high profile international race series since its foundation in 1997.  These include three completely bespoke turbocharged gasoline engines for the LMP1 and LMP2 categories at the ’24 Hours of Le Mans’.

 

AER has a continuing record of victories, particularly in the American and European Le Mans prototype championships. The company has also completed successful programmes for BTCC, Nissan World Series, Rally-X, niche supercars, Paris Dakar, International GT and others.

 

Shell Racing Solutions will provide technical support to AER as well as access to its extensive range of Shell Racing fuels and Shell Helix Racing lubricants.
