From the middle of November to early December Shell will start to test for the presence of alum shale in the northern area of Colonussänkan in the Colunus valley.
We have received many questions since we submitted our application to search for natural gas in Skåne in December last year. Among the important questions asked are: why we are doing this; how the work will be done; and when certain events will take place.
Shell has acquired two mineral exploration licences in Skåne; Colonussänkan and Höllvikengraven. The licenses were approved by Bergsstaten, the authority that regulates mineral exploration in Sweden, on 29 May 2008.
