Intilaaqah

The Qatar Shell Research & Technology Centre is the base for Intilaaqah Qatar, a programme that aims to develop entrepreneurial skills and encourage Qataris to consider starting their own businesses as a viable career option.

Intilaaqah

Intilaaqah is an Arabic word meaning ‘take off’.

Intilaaqah Qatar was launched in 2006.

Qatar's National Vision 2030 states that: "Training and support for entrepreneurs is a basic precondition for enabling the private sector to carry out its required role".

The programme includes workshops on developing business ideas and plans, and the skills required to be a successful owner-manager.

Intilaaqah Qatar is part of Shell LiveWIRE. There are similar programmes operating in over 20 other countries on five continents. Shell LiveWIRE was founded in 1982 in Scotland.
