The session was called Bright Ideas. The 20 participants learned how to generate and evaluate business ideas. They also discussed the characteristics of successful entrepreneurs and what it takes to be successful in business. The workshop was held in the Community Office in Al Khor of the Ministry of Social Affairs. It was the second workshop to be held in Al Khor so far this year. Intilaaqah Qatar was established in 2006 under the chairpersonship of HH Sheikha Hessa Bint Hamad Bin Khalifa AL-Thani and in proud partnership with Qatar Shell, HSBC, Microsoft, Salam International, the College of the North Atlantic Qatar and the Social Development Centre. Andy Brown, Country Chairman of Qatar Shell, said today: “I believe Intilaaqah supports the National Vision 2030 which states that ‘training and support for entrepreneurs is a basic precondition for enabling the private sector to carry out its required role’. With our partners, we are pleased to be bringing the Intilaaqah programme to Al Khor.” Intilaaqah is based on Shell LiveWIRE, a programme run by Shell in more than 25 countries worldwide.
