Shell opened an office in Qatar on 1 November 2002, in support of the Pearl GTL project and other business development activities.

Shell's representative in Qatar is Andrew Brown, who is the Managing Director of the Pearl GTL Project Shell and Shell Country Chairman in Qatar.
