The results

Shell FuelSave drivers around the world have eased off the pedal and taken the strain off their wallets.

When we first launched the Shell FuelSave Challenge we wanted to help drivers save 10% or more of the fuel they use.  Two years later, over two thousand drivers have been trained to get the most out of every drop of fuel through the Shell FuelSave Challenge.

The results are great. Over 2 in 3 saved fuel*. While some people didn’t save much, there were others who succeeded brilliantly  – the average saving was 10%*.

The very best drivers (the top ten in each country) eclipsed expectations, saving 24%* on average. That means they used the equivalent of nearly one less tank of fuel in every four fill-ups - a lot of money saved each year.

It has taken energy and commitment from all the Shell FuelSave drivers so we would like to thank and congratulate everyone who took part.

Remember, it isn’t very hard to save. Everyone has the potential. All the Shell FuelSave drivers did was use Shell fuels with Fuel Economy formula, together with the Shell FuelSave driving tips, which you’ll find on this website.

If we can help persuade more people to try, the amount of fuel we could save globally would be significant.
