 Cariphalte is specially formulated from carefully-chosen combinations of bitumen and thermoplastic elastomers which significantly change the way the bitumen behaves. Cariphalte has a proven track record around the globe and was used to pave the new Sepang International Formula 1 Circuit near Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Cariphalte also features reduced temperature susceptibility, increased stiffness modulus at high temperature and has increased elasticity that reduces cracking. Cariphalte also resists oxidation, reduces deformation and retards secondary compaction. Cariphalte is used to bind mineral aggregates in asphalt concrete and hot layed plant mix for highways, airports, parking areas and driveways where excessive stresses are expected. Cariphalte can also be used as concrete pavement joint and crack sealants.
