 Manansala (First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities – Tanauan City) reaped 6.5 points and 36.5 Bucholz points, outdoing four other Kiddies division participants in the tiebreak. Ronnel Cantonjos of Rizal Technological University (3rd from left) and Andres Buendia II of Cabugao Integrated School – Catanduanes (2nd from right) also garnered 6.5 points, landing on the first and second runner up spots, respectively. The winners bagged seats in the Shell Active Chess grand finals slated on November 8-9, 2008 and took home trophies and cash prizes.
