Cocochem Renews Partnership With Shell

United Coconut Chemicals, Inc., or Cocochem, the country’s leading manufacturer of oleochemicals (chemicals derived from biological oils), renewed its partnership anew with Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation (PSPC) by inking a fuel supply deal for its chemical plant operations located in Bauan, Batangas.

“Our 25 year-old business partnership with Pilipinas Shell only shows that we are happy with our relationship with the company,” said Cocochem Vice President for Operations & Plant Manager Engr. Pedrito Suministrado.
 

Since Cocochem’s operation, PSPC has been supplying its fuel requirements in the manufacture of coconut-based chemicals and value-added products from coconut oil.


“We are looking forward to a longer relationship and hoping to expand our operational relationship with Shell,” said Cocochem President and CEO Dr. Carlito Puno.


Sealing the supply deal with a handshake are PSPC Chairman and President Edgar Chua (2nd from right), Cocochem President and CEO Dr. Carlito Puno (2nd from left), as witnessed by Cocochem Vice President for Operations & Plant Manager Engr. Pedrito Suministrado and PSPC Business Development and Pricing Manager Dennis Javier.  The contract signing was held recently at the Shang Palace, Makati Shangri-La Hotel, Makati City.
