Pilipinas Shell is a major partner of the '2nd Annual Bike for Hope' fundraising activity of the Compañero Foundation slated on January 15, 2005. The event will feature a charity bike ride from Pangasinan up to Baguio City to be led by Senator Pia Cayetano, a running and cycling enthusiast.

 The Bike for Hope event seeks to support various health projects and emphasize the importance of the Clean Air Act drive. In a press conference held at the Marina Restaurant in Pasay City on January 7, Senator Pia Cayetano promoted the thrusts of the Foundation as well as the details of the charity bike ride. Shell and co-sponsors, which include Unilever, Nestle, Coca-Cola, Pfizer, Motolite, GSK, Volvo, Toyota, among others, expressed their support to the event with the signing of the memorandum of agreement with the Compañero Foundation. The bike route will start from the Shell station in Rosario, La Union and end in Camp John Hay in Baguio City. Compañero Foundation is a non-stock, non-profit organization created in the memory of the late Senator Compañero Renato L. Cayetano. It aims to organize various projects related to health, education, sports, youth development and environment.
