Throughout August Fly Buys ran their annual Star Deals promotion.  During this time Shell ran a scratch and win Fly Buys promotion where Fly Buys customers had a 1 in 8 chance of winning instant Fly Buys Points.  If you didn’t win you could register to go into the second chance draw to win one of three prizes of 10,000 points.  

The winners were:

• Mrs Louise Greenwood from Wellington, who mainly shops at Shell Crofton Downs
• Mrs Ngaire Smith from Wellington
• Mrs Maureen Miller from Whangamata, who shops at Shell Whangamata

Throughout August we also ran a competition for all Fly Buys customers who shopped at Shell during the month to go in the draw to win a VIP experience at the 2009 World of Wearable Arts.  The package included flights, a night’s accommodation at the Hotel Intercotinental, and a WOW VIP package with dinner, the show and extras for 4 people.  

The lucky winner was:  James Hawke from Invercargill.

During February and March 2009 we ran a promotion where you could go in the draw to "Be in to Win 10,000 Bonus Points when you purchase a Carwash" at Shell.  Our 10,000 Bonus Points winner is:

During the Top Gear Live show in Auckland we ran three exciting competitions.  Our first competition put entrants into the draw to win one of five prizes of 10,000 Fly Buys Bonus Points.  Our second competition had five lucky people winning a gift pack of Ferrari merchandise.  Our third competition saw two people in the 'Pit Stop Challenge' win $4000 of Shell fuel.
