Shell AutoGas (LPG)

Shell AutoGas is Shell's automotive LPG product. It is friendly to the environment, a clean burning fuel and kind to your budget!

Shell AutoGas is a cleaner fuel environmentally than both petrol and diesel. It has up to 20% less ozone depletion effect, 15% lower greenhouse gas emissions and up to 80% less toxic emissions. Consistently, Shell AutoGas(LPG) does its utmost to ensure the highest quality and most reliable Autogas for its customers. We establish rigorous product specifications and testing procedures for our product.

Generally, the AutoGas sold is a mixture of 60% Propane and 40% Butane. Independent research has shown that the Shell AutoGas mix provides the best balance of fuel economy, vehicle performance and environmental benefits. 

Take care when opening the fuel cap on your LPG vehicle. Under certain conditions, static discharge from some types of clothing may ignite LPG vapours from your vehicle tank.

• LPG is colourless and has a distinctive smell so that leaks can be easily detected
• Before connecting to your car, always check that the vehicle fill point and nozzle
connections are clean and in good condition
• Take care when connecting the nozzle to your car to ensure it is not cross threaded
• Avoid direct contact with LPG which can cause cold burns
