Acknowledging that the Niger Delta has abundant human and natural resources that could be harnessed for entrepreneurial activities, a Micro-Credit and Business Development Programme was launched to promote Micro, Small and Medium enterprises (MSMEs). This is part of efforts to ensure the economic empowerment of host communities and enhance their contribution to Nigeria’s socio-economic development.

	Micro Credit MSMEs play a key role in developing economies like Nigeria, especially in terms of employment creation and contribution to grassroots development.

	Live Wire Nigeria Programme The programme has been broadened to include youth targeted interventions aimed at encouraging youths in our host communities to see 'business' or 'entrepreneurship' as an attractive career choice.

	Women Development Women have been identified as powerful agents for change in the community and are beginning to play an increasingly important role in the social and economic development of the Niger Delta region.
