Kuala Lumpur, 6 February 2007: Shell Malaysia welcomed a convoy of Ferraris today to celebrate 60 years of its long-term technical partnership and shared passion. The Ferrari 60th Anniversary Relay convoy was given a full Shell V-Power Racing greeting at the Shell Sentral Kiosk in Damansara, Kuala Lumpur. Having left Singapore earlier this morning, each Ferrari in the convoy was treated to a full tank of Shell V-Power Racing at the exclusive refuelling, as the convoy entered central Kuala Lumpur. The newly launched, high-performance fuel - Shell V-Power Racing - provided the convoy with the same technology used by Ferrari in Formula One races. Containing 99 per cent of the components found in the fuel used in Ferrari cars during Formula One races, Shell V-Power Racing is designed to give immediate acceleration, response and sustained power. The Ferrari 60th Anniversary Relay Tour, a worldwide rally which sees countless Ferraris touring 44 countries across five continents, kicked off in Abu Dhabi on 28th January and culminates on 25th June 2007 in Maranello, Italy, home of Ferrari. At each race, the Shell Track Lab provides Shell scientists with a unique cutting-edge mobile laboratory enabling fuels to be developed and tested under the most severe conditions. This development on the race track is then fed back into Shell’s road fuel development programmes to benefit the everyday motorist.
